1. Overview
The IP Management feature in Guardian Gaze allows you to control access to your website by blocking or allowing specific IP addresses and countries. This helps protect your website from malicious visitors, bots, and unauthorized access while ensuring trusted users and regions can access your site without restrictions.
This feature gives you full control over public traffic reaching your WordPress website. Key capabilities include blocking specific IP addresses, whitelisting trusted IPs, blocking access from selected countries, and allowing access only from specific countries.
2. How IP Blocking Works
You can block individual IP addresses to prevent them from accessing your website. This is useful when detecting malicious activity from specific IPs, blocking hackers or attackers, preventing spam or bot traffic, and stopping repeated unauthorized login attempts. Once blocked, the IP address will no longer be able to access your website.
3. Whitelisting IP Addresses
The whitelist feature allows trusted IP addresses to always have access to your website, even if security restrictions are active. This is useful for website administrators, developers, trusted team members, and your own personal IP address. Whitelisted IP addresses bypass all blocking rules.
4. Country / Geolocation Blocking
Guardian Gaze allows you to control access based on visitor country in two ways:
Allow Selected Countries
Only visitors from selected countries can access your website. All other countries will be blocked automatically.
Block Selected Countries
Visitors from selected countries will be blocked, while all others can access your website normally.
Guardian Gaze detects the visitor's IP address and determines their country using IP geolocation. Based on your settings, access will be allowed or denied automatically and instantly when a visitor attempts to access your website.
