What this covers

This page explains what cookies and similar technologies are used on guardiangaze.com, covering both GuardianGaze products: the WordPress plugin marketing and customer area, and the Enterprise security-ratings platform.

It does not relate to the WordPress plugin itself: the plugin sets no cookies on visitors to your WordPress site.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files set by a website on your browser. They are used for things like remembering that you’re signed in, preventing form-submission abuse, and understanding how a site is being used.

Categories of cookies we use

Essential. Required for the site to function: sign-in sessions, CSRF protection and basic security. These are always on and are not covered by consent, because the site cannot work without them.

Analytics. Privacy-conscious, aggregated analytics that tell us how the site is used (page views, broad geography, referring source). We do not use these to track you across other websites. These are off until you consent, and you can change your mind at any time.

No advertising cookies. We do not run advertising on the site and we do not allow third-party advertising trackers.

The specific cookies and scripts

When you consent to analytics, we load Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Until you consent, neither script is downloaded and analytics storage is set to denied. Your consent choice itself is stored in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie, so that we can remember it without tracking you.

Changing or withdrawing your consent

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as giving consent. Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page, or open cookie settings now. Withdrawing consent stops further analytics collection; it does not retroactively delete data already collected, which you can request separately under Your rights.

Managing cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you view, manage and delete cookies in their settings, and block cookies from specific sites entirely. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent some features (such as signing in) from working.

Third-party services

Some pages load resources such as fonts from third-party providers, which may set their own cookies. We keep this minimal and document third parties in our Privacy Policy.

We’ll update this page if the cookies we use change. The last-updated date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
